ROSALINDE VAN DER VLIES


Director, European Commission, DG RTD

Ms Rosalinde van der Vlies, is the Director of the Clean Planet Directorate in the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation. Before her appointment as Director, Ms van der Vlies was the Head of Coordination & Interinstitutional Relations Unit, and acting Head of Communication & Citizens Unit. Previously she held positions in DG Environment, DG Justice and Home Affairs, and in the private office of Janez Potočnik, the European Commissioner for the environment. Before joining the European Commission, she worked as a competition lawyer in an international law firm in Brussels and was a part-time teacher at the Catholic University in Brussels.

    LUANA MARIA BIDASCA


    Policy Officer, European Commission, DG MOVE


    Luana Bidasca is a policy officer at the European Commission’s Directorate for Mobility and Transport in the Research and Innovation Unit where she develops urban mobility policy and R&I priorities for local transport authorities. Since March 2021, she is supporting the Climate Neutral and Smart City Mission Manager. In her previous roles she worked for a wide range of non –governmental and city associations, developing policy or managing projects in the areas of road safety and risk mitigation, new mobility services and smart cities.


    TRAIAN URBAN


    Director, EIT Urban Mobility Innovation Hub East


    Traian Urban, Ph.D., graduated from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Political Science / International Relations and the Faculty of Social Sciences in Charles University in European Studies. Dr. Urban has worked in a number of executive positions with focus on innovation strategy, business development and project management. Prior to joining EIT Urban Mobility, Dr. Urban was an active investor, board member and advisor to SME's and start-ups, combined with academic teaching and research activities. He is a member of several committees and working groups with focus on Municipal questions.


    ZOE DE LINDE

    Deputy Head of Unit, European Commission, DG CONNECT


    Ms. de Linde joined the European Commission and Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology in 2001. Ms. de Linde is currently deputy Head of Unit for the Internet of Things in DG CONNECT. Prior to joining the current team in 2021, she worked for the Research Strategy and Programme Co-ordination unit in DG CONNECT.


    ROBERT SPIŠIAK

    Programme Manager, European Commission, DG Regio


    Robert Spišiak is the Project manager for European Cross-Border Cooperation programmes (INTERREG) working for European Commission; he is a specialist for sustainable growth matrix interaction (Transport). He also worked as the lawyer-linguist for both European Parliament and Council of the European Union, which accounts for over 12 years of professional experience with EU institutions. His background is law, EU law and economics at Slovak and German universities.


    PATRICK MERCIER-HANDISYDE


    Senior Policy Officer, European Commission, DG RTD

    Patrick Mercier-Handisyde is Senior Policy Officer in the future urban and mobility systems unit.

    After graduating in mechanical and energy engineering he started his career at the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) where he was initially responsible for engineering and development projects. He then acted as co-ordinator of R&D transport projects at French and European level in the field of energy and transport. He also participated in the launch of PREDIT II (French national programme on land transport research).

    In 1995, he joined the European Commission and since 2006, he has been the responsible of urban transport R&I, including road safety, electro mobility and international cooperation activities.


    TATIANA KOVÁČIKOVÁ

    Professor, University of Zilina, Slovakia

    Prof. Tatiana Kováčiková, PhD. has been Head of the Department of International Research Projects - ERAdiate+ at the University of Zilina, Slovakia, since July 1, 2019. Between 2017-2019 she was the ERAchair Holder for Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) at the University of Zilina. From 2013 till 2015, she held the position of the Head of Science Operations at the COST Association in Brussels. 

    Her research interests include communication protocols, services and applications for CCAM. She has been involved in a number of European research projects under FP7 and H2020 Framework Programmes, COPERNICUS and INCO-COPERNICUS.


    MIROSLAVA TUŽINSKÁ

    Horizon Europe National Contact Point - Cluster 5: Climate, Energy & Mobility, Slovakia

    Miroslava Tužinská has been H2020 National Contact Point for SC3 (Secure, clean and efficient energy) and SC5 (Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials), since 2019. 
    The National Contact Points (NCP) network is the main support structure at national level for providing expert advice, guidance, practical information and assistance on all aspects of Horizon Europe participation to potential applicants, regardless of sector or scientific field.
